Phew (sigh of relief)! I was trying to figure out what kind of
social agency you could get your neighbor to call to get you rescued.
Maybe the police? You are a very brave person. To say you are right
that you did not deserve that kind of treatment and that your mother's
behavior was wrong is an understatement.

Sometimes I think the most difficult part of having a disability
is the Job's comforters that love to give advice, especially the kind
that makes them feel they are being "tough". That's why support
groups of people in the same situation make so much sense.

It's easier said than done, but try to ignore the jerks even
(or especially) if they are relatives!
