I don't know anything about the tetanous shot but have a problem of my own.
When I saw the neurologist yesterday he recommended I get the flu shot this
year. He says previously they thought it might cause flare up but new
research does not support this. I have never had a flu shot and don't want
to tempt fate. Any thoughts on this? Lynn >>
I had TM since 1990. When I got the flu shot in October 1996, I ran into
almost immediate problems sexualy, gastrointenstinally. I lost feeling from
the waist down. The shot was in mid-October (and did not warn persons with
TM not to recieve the flu shot), By the end of October I had signfiicantlt
neuro. problems. In Mid-december, I saw aniother neuro who thought that TM
was flarinug up. I was hospitalized for high dose solumedrol treatment. it
eneded up that it had Guillain Barre Syndrome, thought to have bee truggered
by tghe flu shot. 3 months in the hospital, 30+ plmasapheresis treatments
and 6 monts of chemotherapg
