Yes, I do recall having the flu symptoms, but it wasn't bad. In other
words, I went to work - I was a little achy, though, on Sunday, the day
immediately after the first injection. I think I experienced these
symptoms only after the first few injections (maybe the first 3 or 4). No
other side effects that I can name. I don't feel or experience any
'symptoms' at all after an injection at this point.
I started the process thinking that I would give the injections myself, so
I learned how to inject in the thigh muscle. (A home health nurse came to
my house to teach me.) The thigh muscle works, but it's painful. My
husband-to-be was really the one who was going to administer the
injections, though, so soon afterwards he learned how to give them in the
hip. (The home health nurse went over this with us, but I spent most of
the time making sure I knew how to do it, and of course, the thigh was MY
only choice!)
Hope this helps!
Gail
