Hi! I'm a quad with TM. I was diagnosed with it when I was 10. I'm 17
now. I'm a c-6. I use a power chair and have everything in my left arm
but triceps. It's still pretty weak though. I have very limited use of
my right arm. At the initial onset of TM, I couldn't use my arms at
all. I went to shepherd center for 4 months in '90. This is the only
return I've gotten and have had no relapses yet, knock on wood! I have
had a billion other problems though that have deterred some much
needed therapy and weight gain. I've had gastrointestinal problems,
scoliosis surgery,a skin sore, and bladder problems. I hope to go to
college next year and move out of my house ASAP, but it's gonna take a
lot of work!
So yes Jeff, there are quads with TM. I guess we're just few and far
between! I'd love to write to you and anyone else who would like. I
have to warn you though, I'll probably only write on the weekends
because the rest of my week is pretty busy with school!
