transverse myelitis and pregnancy

Hi everyone,
I am looking for someone that can help me with a couple of questions. First,
is it ok get pregnant 18 months after having TM? Second, what are the
symptoms of a relapse?
I am trying to help my friend who suffered accute transverse myelitis last
year while she was pregnant with her second child. She is almost back to
normal except that she still has some tingleling in her toes. She and her
husband are wondering if is a good idea to try to have another baby. Her
second one was healthy but with a low birth weight. She is in her low
thirties.
Any recommendations about exercise, diet, vitamins? What about reseach and
any new drugs? Any good books about TM? My friend doesn't have access to
the net and we live several hundred miles apart. So if you could send me any
information I would really appreciate it. Thank you ,
