Angela:

The Tone 'as referred to' is the normal state of firmness or tension of
ones muscles.
When speaking about High Degree of Tone. This is an abnormal amount of
tightness or tension of ones muscles. Usually expressed as a stiffness
or contraction of the muscles. Many times associated with spasticity.
I my case a constant contraction of my muscles and spasticity. I gain
relief by deep stretching and a few milligrams of Valium {5-15} per day,
depending upon my activities.
You would see your normal neurologist for a dx {diagnosis} and
medication for this condition.

P.S. There was a more in-depth and clearer response to this question on
the thread sometime ago. If the poster of that response could repost, I
think you would have a better understanding of the definition of Tone as
it relates to TM.
