Just read your note on Cervical Stenosis. In June 1996 my Cervical Stenosis
caused so much discomfort and danger to my spine I finally was advised by the
Neurologist as well as primary physican to agree to an operation. Because of
the complexity of the operation I wound up at the Penn. Hosp in Phila
speaking with Dr. Simone. (Well respected in his field and only one of a few
who could do this type of operation)
He removed the C6 and replaced it with a bone from my right hip and also
removed two herniated discs. Needless to say I was uncomfortable for quite a
while. I was advised three years ago that I might need the surgery but I put
if off as long as advisable. I am glad I did even though I did experience
more leg weakness and a lot less bladder and bowel control. I was first
diagnosed with TM in 1957.
