Jill -- I just asked my neurologist earlier this week if I
could safely have a child with TM (I was diagnosed only 8
weeks ago myself). I have a two-year old daughter but hope
to have another child someday. She told me it should be
perfectly save for both me and the baby to get pregnant. It
may cause additional discomfort with the symptoms we
experience but according to her, it shouldn't adversely
affect the baby or the long-term outcome of the TM. By the
way, my neurologist is great about taking the time to answer
any of these kinds of questions -- her name is Sharon Lynch
and she practices at KU Medical Center in Kansas City. She
has treated numerous people with TM in KC area and beyond.
Good luck with your pregnancy -- let me know how things
progress as I'd like to have more children myself. --
Whitney
