Charlotte - My heart goes out to you. Based on the info I've gotten
from this group and the comments from my doctors, TM is not really well
understood or defined. I don't have TM, but just myelitis - the
differnce being that most of the symptoms are on one side of my body. I
am not paralized, just a lot of irratating symptoms. While the doctors
tell me that they do not expect anymore improvement (I was diagnosed in
late fall of '94), I think that we will all eventually benefit from the
research on spinal cord injuries. As someone in this group commented, a
spinal cord injury is a spinal cord injury, whether it was caused by an
accident or myelitis. Keep reading the group - I've gotten lots of good
information from these generous people.
