I am a new list member and also very new to TM...I am looking for
info on exactly what it is and its prognosis and treatment...I just recently
found out that after 24 years of living with what we thought was MS is really
TM.
I was diagnosed with MS in 1973 but never had an MRI, I went to a
new neurologist this month and he ordered three MRI's showed I have no MS
plaques, but a narrowing of the spinal chord in the thoracic area which he
called transverse myelitis he did not give much more info and I still am in
shock. I am now paraplegic and he said I will remain so but do not have to
worry about double vision, speech and mental complications of MS I am VERY
confused and need all the info I can get.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry I am still in shock.
