I have a daughter who just turned 15 on June 29. She became paralyzed from
the waist down on March 24. She has feeling and use in her right leg. She
still can't move her left leg. She can distinguish sharp and dull on both
legs (her left leg just regained this all the way down last week, the right
leg regained it about 6 weeks ago). She still can't distinguish hot and cold
on either leg. She describes things feeling "weird" alot, but like Barbara
said, because of your daughter's age she might no realize how things are
suppose to feel. My daughter also says her left foot feels "tight" alot. I
don't know if this helps any. Luckily, she doesn't have any pain. When it
first happened her legs felt like they do when they are asleep - not the
"pins and needles" like alot of people complain about, just "Numb" feeling.
It doesn't feel like that anymore. One thing we have to careful about,
since she can't feel too much in her left leg, we have to watch her stubbing
her toe and dropping her foot down too hard. This might not help much, but
that's how she explains it.
Good Luck, Your in my prayer and thoughts.
