My daughter is also 13 and was diagnosed with ATM at 11. I'm sure she would
be happy to talk to your son. She was completely paralysed from the waist
down, T-10-12. She now walks on her own, but has been instructed to use
AFO's and crutches. She is very active in wheelchair sports, including
softball and basketball. She is an avid swimmer and swims in both disabled
