Debbie - I take it for tingling and numbness in my feet and right hand.
It doesn't eliminate the symptons completely, but does deaden them
somewhat. Side effects include, as you stated, tiredness and dry mouth.
Since I'm also depressed (wonder why), I take zoloft in the morning,
which tends to wake you up. The most bothersome side effect of the
amitriptilyne is dizzyness. I start to keel over if I get up to fast or
turn around to fast. Its all trde-offs, isn't it.
