Hi, Guys!

My Neuro mentioned that in the latest issue of Science magazine there was an
article documenting the reproduction of spinal cord tissue in a test tube.
Seems that they took lab rats and borrowed some of their nerve tissue and were
then able to reproduce it in a test tube! They haven't been able to "clone"
nerve tissue up until now. This means that they should, some years down the
line, be able to repair damage to the spinal cord and surrounding tissues -
even in severe cases like Christopher Reeve. Maybe somebody with no kids and
greater mobility could find the issue and tell us all about it. Anybody
bored?
Love to all,
Julienne
P.S. My update - still walking with a walker, not much improvement in the past
week. All my hair has fallen out, due to the chemo - very demoralizing. I
used to have grreat hair! Everyone says "Oh, it will grow back, don't worry!"
Yeah, well let's shave your head, even for a few months, and see if you don't
worry. And don't tell me that Demi Moore did it, she got paid millions, okay?
It boggles my mind that people do this on purpose. I have so much more
sympathy for men. I swear I'll never tell another bald joke as long as I
live, really. The scull is simply not an erogenous zone. And you get chilly
at night! Not to mention mosquitoes! So for all you out there with TM and
multiple problems but a good head of hair...we who are bald salute you.
