Hello to all.

The New but Old means that I'm new to the list but I was diagnosed
11/10/81...coming up on my 16th anniversary soon. My onset was about 24
hours..started with tingling in both feet about 4 in the afternoon. As
the evening progressed the numbness moved up my left leg. The next AM
the numbness was still in my left leg, I had a sore spot just below the
left scapula. I also noticed some numbness in the rectum.. Drove a
hundred miles..did some work.. had my then 11 year old with me.. on the
way home, actually only after a few miles the numbness went from just
above my left knee to about T4 and I noticed some tingling on the
right..When I got home I could barely walk.. a few hours later I was off
to the ER. After a bunch of hours in there, and my chest looking like a
cats scratching board, I was admitted..Saw a (my) neurologist about 11PM
and he thought it might be TM..the next day I had the spinal tap and a
mylogram...no CT scans or MRI's in existence at that time..He Dx'd the
dreaded TM..Hung around the hospital for ten days or so and as soon as I
was off the catheter I went to PT and two days later went home...

I can and will share more but I'm getting a bit long winded. I've seen a
lot and maybe I can share it...If you think of a question, I'll try to
answer it..

Regards to all..
