My name is Mike. I am new to the TM group, and quite amazed that there are so
many others out here who have been diagnosed with it. I am 29 now, living
just south of Boston. At age 12, I was diagnosed with Acute TM, and was
paralyzed completely from the neck down. I spent 3 weeks on a vent, and over
7 months in 3 hospitals. Today, I walk with a cane, but still have lingering
effects including reduced sensation and a slightly disfigured left arm &
hand. Yet, I am very thankful to be walking at all.
