Someone mentioned lesions on the spine as a symptom of TM. It seems that
is usually the case, from what people have said on this list. The last time I
talked with my neurologist, I asked if I had one. He apparently didn't have
my chart open, but he said he didn't think so. None was ever mentioned to me
while in the hospital or at his office over the last year and a half. They
did mention a probable virus and swelling around the spinal cord. I did
specifically ask in the hospital if the diagnosis of TM was made from any
test or anything they saw or if it was made on the basis of the symptoms and
the ruling out of other problems. I was told it was the latter. That has
sometimes made me wonder if what I had was really TM, but my symptoms are
almost exactly like so many peoples' are here on this list. Someone else
wrote a few weeks back to say he had no lesion, also. Just wanted to pass
that info. along.
