Margie,

Is there another neurologist near you that your husband could see for a
second opinion? It seems so odd that they would send him home and not want to
see him again for a year! Has he had any testing besides the MRI? When I was
in the hospital, they ran multitudes of tests on blood samples for everything
from lyme disease to vitamin B-12 defiency to lupus to I don't know what all
else, but I did read the pages and pages of test results. I would push for
more testing to rule out some of these other possibilties. It may take you
back to square one and you may still not know what's wrong, but then again
they might find something. At least you'll know you've checked out other
potential problems, which is a lot more comforting than waiting.
