My daughter is 14 years old and developed Acute TM on March 24, 1997. She
will be 15 in June. She woke up feeling fine. She was getting ready for
school. When she got out of the shower her legs starting hurting. About 15
minutes later the pain had increased and was shooting up her legs. I gave
her a motrin and told her to lay down. When I checked on her about 15
minutes later the pain was gone but she was paralyzed from the waist down.
She now has almost full movement in her right leg and no movement in her
left leg. She can't distinguish hot\cold or sharp\dull in either leg. She
seems to be progessing a little each week. I would be interested in any
cases that happened this quickly in other children or teens.
