Dear Carolyn and Nicole,
I also experience dizziness,L'Hermett's sign and visual problems.I have a
lot of rt. sided neck pain. My neurologist recently put me on Elavil 20 mg.
before bedtime. He recenly increased it to 40 mg. It has helped the pain
tremendously, allowing me to sleep approximately 6 hrs.I am also experiencing
periods of shortness of breath. Have either of you ever had that? I also
take 2.5 or 5 mg. of Valium for the dizziness. This is supposed to help --it
has me. Sorry for the back track. My cognitive abilities are not the best.
My lesions are at C-6 & T-2. I was of work for 10 wks.,went back at 9 hrs.,
then 24. This week I am back off again. I have 2 more wks. of family leave
left. It is doubtful whether I will be able to return. This is not easy to
deal with. For me stress & fatigue play a big part in my symptoms.I think
we are experiencing the same sort of symptoms because of the location of our
lesions. I also feel I am a hypochondriac when talking to my doc. He always
listens & asks if there's more. I always tell him everything. It was hard to
mention the shortness of breath-I thought he might think I was having a
panic attack. He said because of the location of the lesions I would have
periods like that. I am supposed to have pulmonary function tests sometime
this week. I too, keep a journal of everything.
