Hi Debbie,
My lesion is also at L2. I have the same bowel and bladder problems as
you. Has anyone suggested self-catheterising to you, I really hated the
idea at first but after months of bladder infections which I could never
feel until things were really bad, finally gave in and started
catheterising. What a difference it makes, no more infections and I can
ignore all the wrong messages the bladder was giving me. I'm also on
Baclofen which helps. I've also had a range of drugs for the bowel as
mine doesn't do anything without alot of help. I'm now on Dulcolax, 4
at night and mini enemas when needed and that seems to work for me.
I can understand your view on spinal taps, I can face just about
anything but another one of them!
