Congratulations on your airplane trip! I was antsy about an airplane
trip from Georgia to California last summer -- I imagine it was harder for
you since, if I remember correctly, your TM attack started up at an airport.
I also live in the South, and it gets extremely hot and humid here. I
have never been very heat tolerant, but it doesn't seem to affect my TM
symptoms much. A lot of others have said they have trouble with heat, though.
I have had a certain amount of swelling in my left hand and right calf
since the TM -- really, the swelling in the calf was there before. It's
worse some days than others. The drs. don't seem concerned about it, but I've
wondered if that affects the nerves. I haven't had swelling in one particular
area, like the ankle, that you mentioned. I'd definitly ask about it -- and
let me know what the dr. says. Some medicines can also cause swelling in
hands and feet.
