acute transverse myelitis

I have just learned of your internet group. My daughter, age 13, two years
ago was diagnosed with atm, level T-10-12. We have tried intensive physical
therapy, acupuncture, herbal therapy, and physical training. Two years
later, she can now walk without assistance, but normally used afo's and
crutches. I am curious about other children with atm. We had 4 other
children in our area who were diagnosed w/i 6 months of eachother with atm.
2 were quads, 3 paras. 3 are still wheelchair bound. My daughter and
another girl got atm within 2 days of eachother with no medical reason.
Anyway any thoughts on new treatments, what's worked or not we would love to
hear
