Hello Bill,

Things sound like they are looking up for you! What you describe is the
basic course of my own recovery. Mine was different in that, I started
recovering the day after the attack and was able to walk again with a couple
of canes within about 5-6 weeks. However, the recovery began with small
muscle movements and toe movements. It progressed with slightly increasing
strength in the legs to the point where I could move them around in bed.
Bill, move them as much as possible. The more you work them, the more it
will help you build muscle tone. Even flexing muscles builds tone. I was
also told that continuing to move helps increase the messages along the nerve
pathways that have been inactive.

Keep the the hard work. Keep up hope!

Regards and best of health,

Gary K.
