I have heard that Oil of Evening Primrose is good for MS. Beyond that
there is a lot of excitement here in the UK about a new form of nutritional
treatment for MS which is currently undergoing blind trials. It involves
Vitamin B12, Diet Coke (yes really !) and a commonly used antidepressant -
the literature currently doesn't indicate which. The person who found
this conncoction found it by chance and has spent a lot of time persuading
the medical hierarchy to take notice. Other things that seem to be
considered good for MS are hyperbaric chamber treatment - this is the
chamber used for treating divers with the bends. I have no better info on
any of these but the NMSS society in the States and the MS Society in the UK
may be able to help.

Best Wishes

I was wondering if anyone out there was involved in this approach to
battling
the effects of TM. I heard a radio show in my area - NY and the doctor
discussed the benefits of nutritional therapy (such as specific vitamins
and
vitamin shots) that help in cases of Guilan Barre (sp?) and MS. These two
are closely related to TM, so the thought naturally crossed my mind. He
spoke of specific vitamins that helped in the regeneration of myelin and
other chemical components of the nervous system.

Considering there is not much out there that can help us recover and we
generally only seem to be treating the effects of TM on us, this gave me
some
small encouragement that we could help ourselves.

Does anyone have any info. on the specific vitamins to use? Is anyone
attempting this sort of approach? I am going to try and contact this Dr.
(Dr. Ronald Hoffman) and see if I can get his suggestions or perhaps a
transcript of his show. He mentioned at least six different things that
might prove beneficial.

Best of Health to All,

Gary
