Dear Gary,
I had heard somewhere that vitamin B6 was helpful with myelin regeneration.
I can't remember where I heard it, but I take B6 everyday. I was diagnosed
with TM in September of 95. I had lesions on my spine from T2 to T10?( I
think). It's been almost 1 1/2 and almost all of my lesions are gone. Don't
get my wrong, I still have many side effects, and I was diagnosed immediately,
and treated right away with steroids. But, I've been very lucky with my
recovery. I'd be interested to see if there are any homeopathic alternatives
out there. I'm willing to try anything. Best of luck to you.

Sincerely,
Lizz Rofe

Subject: Nutritional therapy for TM

I was wondering if anyone out there was involved in this approach to battling
the effects of TM. I heard a radio show in my area - NY and the doctor
discussed the benefits of nutritional therapy (such as specific vitamins and
vitamin shots) that help in cases of Guilan Barre (sp?) and MS. These two
are closely related to TM, so the thought naturally crossed my mind. He
spoke of specific vitamins that helped in the regeneration of myelin and
other chemical components of the nervous system.

Considering there is not much out there that can help us recover and we
generally only seem to be treating the effects of TM on us, this gave me some
small encouragement that we could help ourselves.

Does anyone have any info. on the specific vitamins to use? Is anyone
attempting this sort of approach? I am going to try and contact this Dr.
(Dr. Ronald Hoffman) and see if I can get his suggestions or perhaps a
transcript of his show. He mentioned at least six different things that
might prove beneficial.

Best of Health to All,

Gary
