Hi Julienne!

ACTH was the first drug they gave me when I became paralyzed in 1981. I was
on it in the hospital, and I believe for a while at home. I don't remember
any bad side effects....but then, a lot of that time is a blurrrrr! I know
nothing about Cytoxin....sorry!

I can understand your reluctance to hospitalization again. My doctor knows
my feelings about that too, and if I *have* to be hospitalized, he sets up
all tests to be done 1, 2, 3 so I don't start complaining about being there
too long!!!! Of course, I *do* go along with his suggestions and know he's
only looking out for me.

I think this group has brought out a lot of good points, but I don't know
that you should dismiss your doctor yet!!!! We all may need a bit more
training!!!!! ;-)

<<Well, my first onset was sudden, my second gradual; my first recovery
quick, this one slow-to-none. I'd love to hear from anyone with "relapse
experience">>

I have had many exacerbations....and mostly the same way you did.....the
first onset was very sudden and others have been mostly gradual. It has
taken time.....sometimes a lot of tihat long ago....so try being patient
(ain't easy!) and give it some time!

It's great that you've found some relief with acupuncture!!!! Hey...whatever
works, go for it!

Lots of luck today with the MRI! Maybe we'll hear from you that
hospitalization wasn't necessary. If it is, good luck with Nurse
Ratchett!!!!

Will be thining of you...
