Interesting comment -- you know when I use Medscape or Paperchase (
which comes right out of Harvard!) you get almost nothing about Transverse
Myelitis. In fact, the only thing said about it in "curent Diagnosis and
Treatment" (1997 version) is ... and i'm not quoting here -- it is
frequently associated with HIV infection!!!!!!! -- which will be REAL good
news to most of you out there ;-) -- but seriously,,, this represents a
REAL paucity of significant research --although of course, the pathological
process of demyelination is being extensively studied in MS and nerve
regeneration is accomplished in mice and human trials have been carried out
in regenrating brain cells in Alzheimers!!
