Linda and Dave,

Please post any info you find on his studies. I am extremely interested!!
Thanks!!

Linda,

Does Dr. Ropper mind if we drop him a line or two???
I am in Austin, Texas and have not yet found a neuro with much experience
in the way of TM or MS. My neuro has been helpful but his area of
specialty is cancer.

To all,

I wanted to get your opinion on the evoked potential test. What have your
neuros said about this test? Is it a beneficial thing to have done? I ask
because my neuro thinks potential MS because of my age and sex (I am 26 and
female), but when first doing all of the MRIs and lumbar puncture, he did
not recommend doing the evoked potential test because he claimed that it
(the test) is not done often in Austin and no one doctor has a lot of
experience with it. But, the neurosurgeon I went to see back in Sept
96(the "beginning") is from the Boston area and highly recommended this
test. The neurosurgeon is a young guy who studied on the east coast and he
claimed that surgery was not an option for me nor a biopsy (my neuro was
concerned about cancer because the lesion was quite large on the MRI)
because he thought I had classic signs of MS. I am just lucky that my
symptoms are very mild most of the time and I have never experienced
complete paralysis (only partial in my right arm and hand), and that
recovery was fairly quick.
Sorry to ramble!?>! Anyway, feedback would be great from those that have
had this test done.

Nicole
