For what it's worth, I was told that the differentiator between TM and MS
was that for MS it had to be 2 (or more) different instances in 2 (or more)
different locations. This also seems to be the definition on the NMSS
(Nat. MS Society) WWW pages.

I wonder if TM and MS are related....just suppose it was a virus or similar
which caused the problem or set our auto-immune systems going hay-wire.
Would it not be feasible that some people have the ability to stop the
effect or switch of the autoimmune response whereas in others it continues
on regardless.

With TM there is a diversity of symptoms and degrees of problem....yet this
is only a single lesion disease. MS people must experience an even
greater diversity ! Also, with MS you cannot always spot MS lesions on an
MRI, yet the patient can have quite severe symptoms, likewise some MS
sufferers have lots of lesions but very few symptoms. Basically the
whole neurological area seems to be a "black-art" science. I guess that
the specialists just don't know and search for statistical significance as
much as we are doing !

Oh well......Have a nice weekend
