Barb, "Minding the Body, Mending the Mind" sounds very good.

On the subject of circulation, does anyone believe that cuts/wounds, even
cat scratches, heal more slowly in the affected areas? I have a sense of
that, and had decided it must be less circulation.

On the subject of meditation, now that I know the girdle pain is often
associated with spasms I can understand why meditation and chi gong
seemed to help (a targeted meditation). It's so hard to know exactly
what's helping, so I wondered if I wasn't overstating the results.
