One of the many things I've never understood about TM is why symptoms
are worse some days than others, why one can experience progress and feel
great, and then have a day or more of feeling awful, increased numbness or
pain. I know that when the body is fighting off something, colds, etc., that
can make the TM symptoms feel worse, as can overdoing, fatigue, premenstrual
symptoms, etc. But what about those times when just out of the blue you have
a bad day, when a symptom flares up so badly you just don't even want to
move? My neurologist said sometimes the nerves get irritated or fatigued. I
asked him if there was a way to un-irritate or fatigue them or avoid
bothering them; he said no.
I apologize to those who every day have worse days than my worst if I
sound like I'm whining.
