I have the same thing--I can't straighten all the way up and look really
weird until I've walked a few yards. The more regular I am with
exercise, the less stiffness I seem to have.
I only had leg cramps/spasms at night the first few months, and was on
Baclofen for a short time so I could get a decent night's sleep. Now I
only occasionally have spasms, and mostly in my left foot after walking a
lot or wearing tight shoes. My new chiropractor, though, is working on
my bunion, also left foot, and I'm having a lot less pain and spasms.

Barbara,
I have terrible stiffness in both thighs when I first stand and attempt to
walk after sitting. It is extremely painful and I feel like a robot walking
until the muscles do what they are supposed to. The doctor says this is
spasticity. He put me on Baclofen three months ago. It definitely helps. I
also get awful calf cramps mostly at night, but once in a while in the day
too. Do you experience that?
