I started getting a little raised rash on my leg, about a week ago Sunday.
Very itchy. I thought it was Poison oak or scorpion weed, so went to drug
store and bought a bottle of Benadryl anti itch gel for poison oak.
A little more than a week later, and the bottle totally emptied, the rash
has spread to both legs and both arms. I wake up in the middle of the
night clawing at myself, trying to get the itching to stop. I finally made
an appointment with my Dr. (Not my neurologist, but my allergist) He
prescribed Atarax 25mg, three times daily, and Triamcinolone cream to apply
to affected areas.
It has not spread anywhere else on my body, except my arms and legs. The
Dr. told me it is contract dermatitis. To me, it looks like Chicken Pox
and diaper rash combined. But the pharmacist said the Atarax is prescribed
for anxiety. Is this related to my TM? Is anybody else out there
experiencing added, supposedly unrelated symptoms like this?
I would like some input. Thank you very much.
