Elevated CPK levels at onset.

Has anyone had an elevated CPK enzyme reading at onset of TM attack. When it
first struck me I had a 500 CPK which is extremely high. This enzyme can be
one of three types as I understand it: cardiac, brain or muscle. To tell
which of these three were elevated they would have had to do a more defining
test immediately, which they did not. By the time the test was done on a
follow up blood sample the level was already reduced. The only reason I am
aware of these facts is because my wife is a medical technologist
specializing in hematology. She demanded the isolating test, but the
neurologist did not feel like being questioned and said the lab had problably
thrown out my initial blood sample by that time. We were in contact with my
internist who stepped in and agreed that the test should have been done.
It's hard enough being ill without dealing with a doctor's ego. At any
rate, I still believe this might be a relevant fact, that bears looking into.
Especially if through all of our contacts, some sort of TM exam protocol can
be established for the inital diagnosis of the attack. From all I have read
here already, initial diagnosis can very often be delayed, causing a severe
defciency in information which might only be available and noticable at the
initial onset.

Regards and Good Health to All!
