Brian:
Can't really find any reason not to complete the survey. I'm still working
on it! End of accounting period and quarter, plus my employee is out for
two weeks for elective surgery. Talk about stress levels! So it's not
scientific. Haven't read anything "scientific" that has the answers to the
questions I have.

My neurologist doesn't say traumatic spinal cord injury. But since a spinal
tap did not show infection(current), lyme disease(frequent in CT)active, no
flu symptoms pre incidence, we can only determine that a fall at
work(workmans comp?) was the only variance from daily activity. I guess I
could persue the workmans comp, I did document the incidence and had a
witness. But, I decieded to continue working. It's been a challenge. I
can only feel comfortable on level surfaces and can't depend on my depth
perseption for manuvering. Something very positive happened right after my
symtoms appeared(8/96), I got a promotion! Have had another one since.
Can't say my symtoms are better, in fact they have increased. I've just been
working very hard to maintain my lifestyle, with the necessary adjustments.

As to your reference to neurology texts. As I stated before, I have not seen
anything that addresses my questions. Yet, that is. I'm hooked up to
hospitals in Boston and get info monthly. Case stidies are interesting but
TM still seems to be a "catch all" diagnosis.

Haven't had to push the envelope yet with my insurance company. So far, 3
MRI's,spinal tap, extensive blood work, and Neuro visits have not been a
problem. My neuro just, last week, turned me over to my GP, saying that in
her opion(sp) I have stabalized and unless I come up with new symtoms, my GP
can handle the situation. I don't know if this is good or bad, but I'm glad
I don't have to do the MRI thing every 3 months!

I really do have concerns about our fellow suffers who are concerned about
insurance. I do have a friend who deals with insurance claims for a Boston
hospital and will ask her if TM is in her coding book.

Bryan: My BP is fine.

Chins up,
Donna
