Dear Debbie,
I was just house-cleaning my files and re-read your intro letter. Have
you been to see the neurologist where you live yet? How'd it go?
Insurances companies can be frustrating. Mine wouldn't approve the drs.
recommendation to send me to the rehab unit of the hospital; they did approve
physical therapy at home. I preferred that anyway, but I was frustrated that
someone in an office somewhere was making that decision. My husband had to
make tons of phone calls to get them to pay for what they were supposed to,
but they finally did and have been great ever since. Too bad medical expenses
are such that we need insurance companies. Except for some of the
frustrations, I've been grateful that they have taken care of so much.
I was appalled (sp?) that the neuro. in your city didn't see you right
away. Hopefully once you see him the first time, you'll be able to get in
contact with him a little easier. If not, I'd try to find someone who is more
accessible.
Hope you kept up with the physical therapy on your own: seems for many
that keeping moving physically as much as possible helps.
Let us know how you're making out.

Wishing you alll the best, prayerfully,
Barbara
