I was going through my old e-mail files and rediscovered your note from
January about your optic nerve having been attacked before your TM. That
raised two questions: 1) Do the drs. think that led to or had any relation to
the TM? 2)Can anything be done for an optic nerve once something has happened
to it? Thought of one more: How do they look at an optic nerve? MRI?
My neurologist thinks my eye problems are being caused by my nerves and
has put me on Tegretol for it and the other symptoms. Was on it for two days,
then had ringing in one ear, so I was told to discontinue it for a few days,
then start it back up and see if it happened again. I did stop it a few days
ago, but still have the ringing. Anyway, I was wondering whether to push for
a look at the optic nerve, or whether that would change the treatment anyway.
