For the record, I was on a month-long course of antibiotics in July-August
1997 for a staph infecton that developed after ankle surgery. My TM-type
attack was in March 1998.

This was the longest time on antibiotics in my entire life. I'd have to
check which antibiotic I took, but know that I have been allergic to
Penicillin and Sulfa drugs since the age of 8 (I broke out in a terrible
rash--was being treated for tonsilitis) and have had to take Erythromycin or
oher mycin drugs ever since. Interestingly enough, that summer I began
swimming lessons at the high school pool, after which I broke out in
terrible eczema, which has plagued me for most of my life, off an on.
Anyone had a similar history with regard to Penicillin and/or other
long-course antibiotics, or experienced some remotely related sequence of
events?
