Dear Alton,
I'm glad that they did not actually remove the catheter that way, OUCH!
My mom had a catheter, she could not go without it at all. Once in a while,
it would dislodge itself, and she would spend several hours trying to go
without it. Then, another trip to the Dr, to get it reinstalled. I don't
remember how long she had one, but it was quite a while. Had a plug in it
during the day, hooked up to a plastic box at night. I have never had one,
but if I have to, I hope I have the guts to handle it gracefully!
I have the greatest respect for the indignities you all have had to go
through, just to accomplish every-day things.! You are all strong people,
with very loving hearts! Here's to you all!!!
