I have been absent lately because I have been hospitalized with blood
infections - a common complication with TPN. My fevers have subsided,
but I still feel very ill. I had surgery to remove the indwelling iv
line I had, and I have a temporary central line in my jugular. Once we
are sure the infections are clear, I will have another indwelling line
put in. I ran very high fevers for a week...starting with a spike to
105.5 degrees. I have been in the hospital for 3 weeks now, and they
are telling me it is going to be another 3 weeks...needless to say, that
depressed me quite a lot. I have been home a total of 7 weeks since
last August.
Well, I must go now. I will be thinking of you all!
