I really don't have any suggestions except maybe to contact Bill's son and
ex-daughter-in-law and see if maybe they have any ideas as to what to do
next, whether they actually come or not.
I'm upset with the dr. who thought he was not in much pain because his face
wasn't scrunched up. Different people have different levels of tolerance for
pain and different ways of dealing with it and showing it. It sounds like the
pain and the problem are wearing him down.
When he goes in to see the drs. or have tests run, do they talk with you as
his caregiver?
I know constipation can be painful, but to me this sounds more severe than
constipation. It doesn't sound like an average TM problem -- I can't recall
anyone mentioning severe abdominal pain with TM -- but even if it is TM
related it seems they could do something about it. As Alton said, he is at
the age where it could be any number of things.
I know you are in an awkward position because you can't take him to another
hospital if he doesn't want to go or demand that someone at the VA figure out
what the problem is like maybe a relative could.
Just wanted you to know I was thinking of you and Bill and praying for you.
Keep us posted.
