You know from this group that spinal cord disorders can affect the bowels. I
don't know the mechanism; I think that peristaltic motion is sourced
locally, not cerebrally, and the source is outside the spine --- but it does
involve nearby nerves.
And the pain may not be related to TM. Bill is in his sixties. He could be
having colon cancer, non colon cancer, Crones disease, etc., etc.
You don't need to "know what organ it is." That is the job of the doctors.
It does seem that you need to be able to motivate them. You also need to
motivate Bill so he doesn't just accept the situation when he needs to fight
it.
I don't remember if you have ever described the full relationship to Bill;
you don't need to. But it is very clear that when you say, "Barbara, who
cares for Bill" that you mean it in several dimensions. Bill is lucky to
have you.
Alton, who had colon cancer 15 years ago and is now scheduled for another
colonoscopy
