Kasandra,

The heat feeling is normal for this group...we have
feeling of freeze/burning which is the burning on the
inside with the feeling of freezing on the outside...I
think it has been explained as the nerves trying to
reach the old places where there was contact which
has been 'disconnected' by tm. This is the pain that
most of us have while we are still numb---sounds
strange but that's how it is. My friends ask how I can
have pain and still not be able to feel.....hard to answer,
right?

The dermatologist has had me use Eucerin*..best applied
after shower/bath while skin is still damp. Another creme
is Theraplex, Emollient is best for dryest conditions and
there are two other lotions by that name that are for lesser
dry conditions....Theraplex is more expensive that other, but
worth it....best to buy at discount pharmasy even if you have
to ask them to order it for you. Ohter hints about dry skin....
bathe in only cool to tepid water. DO NOT use a wash cloth.
Pat dry rather than rubbing towel over skin...

*Eucerin comes as creme---which is slower to go on, but lasts
longer....lotion---goes on easiely but doesn't last as long and
is rather costly in the lotion which makes it much more expen-
sive that the creme.

Hope this helps.. JanH
