Welcome aboard. :-)
Glad you found us, but sorry for the troubles you have had.
I probably should wait til in the morning to respond, when I'm more awake and
coherent, but just wanted to comment that your drs. may have been thinking MS
at first because of the double vision. My understanding is that vision
problems are associated with MS more than TM. But then not having a lesion in
the brain would lessen the inclination toward an MS diagnosis. Again, my
understanding (which, along with memory of what I have read before, is not
infallible -- especially at this time of night...) is that MS tends to show
lesions in brain and spine, and TM lesions are usually only in the spine --
but there may be exceptions either way.
I am so very sorry to hear about your miscarriage.
As far as future preganacies, some on the list have had babies after TM with
no problem, and I have read that MS symptoms are even somewhat alleviated
many times during pregnancy, though they do come back afterward, sadly. When
I asked my neurologist about the possibility of having a baby after TM, he
only commented on the need for extra care concerning potential balance
problems, as my balance was very much affected by TM.
Take care, let us know how you are doing -- feel free to share any questions
or comments any time. You've found a great, supportive group of people here.
:-) You have had a lot to handle, but hopefully things will look up from here.
