Debby: I'm sorry that you are finding the rehab people so negative. I =
had just the opposite occur while I was in rehab they were too =
encouraging to the point that when I had limited return in my legs they =
told me I would walk away from TM. However here I am thirteen years =
later sitting in my wheelchair sending you this message. I was given =
false hope and it was very hard for me when I had to face the fact that =
I would not walk again. Maybe the people at the rehab hospital are not =
so much trying to be negative as they are trying to help your brother =
deal with the fact that there is the possibility he won't fully recover =
from TM, I sure hope that he does though! I don't think they should =
try to crush his spirits but I don't think that they should give him =
false hope either. Just my two cents,
Robin
