This is a late response to your post, and someone may have already answered
this, but if not, I thought I'd add my thoughts.
You may want to try some stretches to help your legs not tense up. Yoga
exercises would be good too. My gut feeling is the treadmill would not be
that helpful (I have one) - I don't think it will give you a good enough
range of motion to help with the tension. Good luck, and I hope that you
have gotten some relief by now.
