Hello Karen,
I now have the problem with the toes on my right foot curling down, caused
mainly by spasm, only started recently, but darn annoying, seems to be also
spasticity caused also. I saw the specialist who did my foot and ankle
operation a couple of weeks ago and he said the problem of the toes curling
down is very common in stroke patients and seem also to effect TM related
patients also, he is monitoring it and I am advised a minor surgical
procedure could rectify it if it continues, he also said for people with
pain sensation in the feet can find this toe problem very painful. I feel
like the whole leg and foot will cramp, I can force them a little straight
sometimes. I still seem to have the same size feet, although my shoes are
a little big, but I am not wearing AFO leg and foot braces now. But I
used to wear a size 10 just to be able to get the foot with brace into them,
but found a different brand and I can get it all into a seven and a half,
bit tight until I break them in.
Keep on plugging along Karen, hope all is going well.
Kind Regards from Errol, Narangba, Queensland, Australia. ( Where it is darn
cold here, down to 4 degrees Celsius, Brrr).
