[TMIC] Disability/Unemployment

I got a call today from my manager at my office. I was in the hospital from
June 1-4. I was supposed to go back on the 17th starting 1/2 days. The call
was to say that I, along with 20 other people are getting laid off. Even
though I was out they paid me for it as severence pay. I was only hired a
month ago. You know last hired, first fired?! Now, how do I collect
unemployment and can I? Also, isn't there a way that since my doctor only
wants me really working 1/2 if at all, that I can apply for disability? Does
anyone know the conditions and guidelines on that?
