Dear Lori,
Your situation with the bad side effects and the lack of a phone call
back from the neuro does indicate what I have found to be true- that more
times than we should ever have to, we must handle our own medical care
and make decisions on what we most sincerely think is best for us. Often
we are right and I would have just tried to cold turkey too- and I'm glad
you are OK from doing it-But it's not fair. Nurses aren't allowed to make
some of the decisions we must sometimes make and they often have more
training than we do. Best wishes to you and hope that your doctor
